Seattle with Charlie and Randi (Monty and Bear, too!)

We had a grand four days with Randi and Charlie and Monty the dog. We were pampered, fed, entertained, and informed about places, food, and things anew!

Since I just can't figure out the gallery widget thing, I just uploaded the wonderful shots and did my best to tell you what they represent. The order is off, but the fun and love is still with both of us and we head into Oregon and on to the next phase of this road trip!

Yes, they are all mixed up, and it just shows you how much crazy fun we had!

Bear was so glad to see Monty and Charlie and Randi, too!  Walks around their Ballard neighborhood...you can walk to everything! And everything is Dog Friendly!  Yay!

On our final evening, we were treated to a sunset picnic at one of their favorite spots. the Golden Gardens Beach. Wow! Randi and Charlie often bike here after work - what an amazing decompression plan!

Charlie and Randi scored, and shared, a sunset heading home from Golden Gardens! Third time Wow!

OK, I know I led with the final...blame Blogger. I'm a work in progress. Just enjoy!

We ate our way through Sea Fest! Seattle LOVES a festival. Charlie and John did a good job sampling lots of the food.

A beautiful hike with Charlie at the Grand Forest, just the place for a smooch.

John and I had no problem getting our "steps" in Seattle!

We visited a Lavender Farm! Acres of lots of lavender as well as many other flowers from sunflowers to roses.

Charlie and Randi ran a 5K on Sunday with their good friends Alex and Travis.  We cheered them on. The Great Ice Cream Sundae Run! A good time was had by all, funds were raised for the Children's Hospital, and much ice cream was consumed!

In between visiting amazing restaurants and the local coffee shops and bakeries, we were treated to a professional wine tasting and visit to a local vineyard.

Here we are saying goodbye, but holding on tight to the memories we made this week. The dynamic duo will be in our neck of the woods come September, so...good!
